    Was the current power blackout prophesied?
    As in 2 Chronicles 14:11b:
    "it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power "

    :rolleyes:

    Just wanted to be the first to suggest it (before Jack Van Impe).

    Hmmm...not sure how to interpret that verse. Wouldn't the "many" and "them that are without power" be the same people? Gotta rethink that literal hermeneutic. :eek: [IMG]

    I think they meant power as in power over another. If you mean that there are A LOT of people who should have lost it too yesterday and I live near a few :D [IMG]

    Of course that is the KJV version. Think we should move this to the Versions Forum? :D

    What did "power" mean before 1611? :rolleyes:

    (Please note the tongue-in-cheek in the whole thread)

    I don't think the meaning of power before 1611 is the issue here. I'm more concerned with whether them means all of them or just some of them.

    Dr. Bob,

    Isn't the Hebrew word for "power" ZAPETH? Maybe that sheds some light on the passage.

    Hydro in chemistry is short for "hydrogen" or "hot air". :rolleyes:

    Canada = Hydro = Canada = Hydro

    Makes sense to me, eh? :D

    What allways gets me when problems arise is listening to people talk about how the goverment needs to fix the problem more money more man power ect. I would love to hear a leader stand up and say are hope is not in man but in God. (the God of Abraham,Isac and Jacob.)and tell all Americans we need to repent and turn back to God. We havent seen anything yet.
