Prayer for the Falwells and Their Children

I wasn't around when the news of Jerry Falwell Jr.'s sex scandal broke. After reading through the Baptist Board's posts on the topic, I think all missed something important, prayer for sinners who face the Judge and their children living in a broken home.

To start, the sex scandal by Jerry Falwell Jr. is so sad, shocking, and anger-inducing. The actual sexual sins he and his wife engaged in are perverse beyond just adultery. I feel so terrible for their children, and I prayed for them.

My prayer is also for him and his wife to repent, search themselves and their salvation to see if they are saved, and in case they are unbelievers, for them to be saved. I hope you join me in these prayers.

Very true, but I just get reminded of the Lord's prayer. If I forgive people as sinful as Jerry Falwell Jr. and his wife, I can expect a warm welcome into the Kingdom. That said, I am only showing the evidence of my faith, I know faith in Jesus Christ is what saves me.

The worst part to this so far was the severance package for Jerry Falwell Jr. Liberty can expect some very angry donors for forking over so much money to a man who doesn't deserve the money.
