One observation is that Obama should be included in the polls after his term of office like the rest of the Presidents. The comments about Kennedy are unfounded. There was a big gap between Johnson and Kennedy. Also, for those who degrade Kennedy, (and this was discussed in another thread) Kennedy campaigned to the right of and governed to the right of every Republican nominee and President since 1988. I notice not a one of you mention that Bush and Bush were not on the top of the list.

Also, the comments against Truman are unfounded. He was not a liberal in any sense of the word. He had the guts to do what was necessary to end the war with Japan. He opposed union activity numerous times. He was a leader, unlike the last five spineless Presidents since 1988.

The country was started the slide to reactionary socialism under Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt gave it a big boost with Social Security, the move was accelerated under Lyndon Baines Johnson with Mediscare, and was shoved on the slippery slope to destruction by Baraak Hussein Obamma and Obammacare. All these men were elitists or wannabe elitists and saw the rest of the folks as serfs, peons, slaves, whatever word fits best!

Right on! I'd also add FDR's New Deal programs like WPA and TVA to the list and LBJ's Medicaid and Great Society programs (War on Poverty, etc.) Notice it's usually Dems that add socialistic like programs but let's not forget George W. Bush's Medicare drug benefit.

WPA, We Piddle Around. I can remember a little about them. And you are correct about Medicare, Part D. I had prescription drug coverage as part of my retirement. When Part D came along it apparently took over the corporation's obligation except the corporation covered the "donut hole". Then they cut out supplemental completely except for a small stipend. It could have been worse, some people lose it all.

If Congress don't reform Social Security and Medicare NOW the baby boomers will lose both. It might be just retribution since they sat on their thumbs while the reactionary-democrat party-of-death presided over the slaughter of one third of those who would pay for their retirement. Instead of three paying into the system for each retiree there are only two. Those two may get tired of paying.

    Mr

I have no idea who YouGov is but I know and highly respect the New York Times. Here's their ranking:

In January 2013, New York Times journalist and statistician Nate Silver composed a composite list of previous presidential rankings by scholars for the purpose of predicting incumbent President Barack Obama's ranking among presidents.[42]

    1. Abraham Lincoln
    2. Franklin D. Roosevelt
    3. George Washington
    4. Theodore Roosevelt
    5. Thomas Jefferson
    6. Harry Truman
    7. Woodrow Wilson
    8. Dwight D. Eisenhower
    9. John F. Kennedy
    10. Ronald Reagan
    11. James K. Polk
    12. Lyndon B. Johnson
    13. Andrew Jackson
    14. James Monroe
    15. James Madison
    16. John Adams
    17. Barack Obama
    18. Bill Clinton
    19. William McKinley
    20. John Quincy Adams
    21. Grover Cleveland
    22. George H.W. Bush
    23. Ulysses S. Grant
    24. Gerald Ford
    25. William Howard Taft
    26. Jimmy Carter
    27. Calvin Coolidge
    28. Chester A. Arthur
    29. Richard Nixon
    30. James A. Garfield
    31. Martin Van Buren
    32. Rutherford B. Hayes
    33. Zachary Taylor
    34. Benjamin Harrison
    35. Herbert Hoover
    36. John Tyler
    37. Millard Fillmore
    38. George W. Bush
    39. Andrew Johnson
    40. William Henry Harrison
    41. Warren G. Harding
    42. Franklin Pierce
    43. James Buchanan

There are a large number of polls presented on this site and NONE give the results you present. I'd say that your's is a highly partician and inaccurate perspective.

That list is about as useless as mammary glands on a boar hog and about as accurate as Obama's statements about Obamacare:

If you like your insurance plan you can keep it, PERIOD!

If you like your doctor you can keep him, PERIOD!
