Printer wont print colour

    My friend has a hp deskjet series - 5552...she asked me why it wont print colour...she says theres a colour cartridge in it...so I just don't know....ca anyone suggest a checklist or troubleshooter to rule out the potential problem.....shes running XP home

    Try going into the properties after you selece print - or printer setup. You may have B&W only selected.

    I gotta agree with the cop if all else fails uninstal and then reinstall it. Sometimes that is the only way to weed out a few problems. It's drastic, but when your frustrated and at the end of your rope, it won't seem so drastic [​IMG] GOOD LUCK!

    Oe other issue i came accross ... check the actual colour cartige .. some have a transparent protector over the contacts that needs removing ..
