Its okay, its not a problem (for me).
1 John 1:7-2:1 is just another passage that you refuse to believe.
    No problemo!

I believe and therefore I am eternally secure. If you believe it you also believe in OSAS.
What if you have told a lie and did not realize it was a lie until you got home late at night.
What if you did the same thing two days later, but never made it home because you were in a car accident. Having not repented of the lie you would be in hell according to your theology, correct?
Either that or you believe in OSAS.

Why are you trying to be evasive? Why not just answer my question?

But haven't you read the passages about some people returning to repentance and some not to their destruction?
In Luke 13:3 and 5 where Jesus said we must repent, did He mean once or more than once?

I answered to the best of my ability ... Duz I must know everything?
    Butski, If you insist ...

'Tis all about the attitude of the heart.
Be obedient to the Lord and indulge thyself in 1 John 1:7--2:1.
    'Tis about sincere repentance.
Butski, do you know what sincere repentance is?
Sorry if your church doesn't teach that, but just t'ain't my fault.
As I said, I'ze doin' my bestest.

And, I'm learnin' about Baptists too!

Was Jesus speaking to the saved or unsaved in Luke 13?

Unsaved ... bad example ... Are all important doctrines all found in one place?
Obviously not, and repetitive repentance is found elsewhere.
    An obvious one is ...

Paul’s letter of chastisement to the church produced sorrow, repentance, and salvation …
“… your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner …
For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted” (2 Cor 7:9-10)

Godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation - so then when we sin, do we lose that salvation? Is this a process over and over again and we just have to hope to die at the right point in the cycle....kind of like being in a state of grace as per the Catholic church?

There is a "doomed to slavery to sin" sort of gospel floating around and one thing it does to survive - is ignore Romans 6.

    You probably noticed that already.

Do you have a quote from someone on this thread that is in favor of Romans 6 and also argues as you have suggested above??

Other than you quoting you in the example above - I did not see it on this thread.

    Bob

I don't know ... all I do is report on what the Scripture says.
The difference between me and most is ... I believe ALL of Scripture!
    BTW, I love M&Ms.

Next up: your complaint about my failure to tell you all of God's spiritual truth.

So what's your opinion about people who purposefully lie and are unrepentant about it? Are they partakers of the second death?

But like the liberal media, not accurately. No, the Scripture does not say that we can lose our salvation. What you report is your misunderstanding, and likely what others have told you, which is untrue. But getting you to understand that is not something we will be able to do until you open your heart to the Holy Spirit to consideration you might believe erroneously.

    Will you?

This guy is a troll. He was banned under another name. The only thing he ever posts about is how everyone but him and lose their salvation.

I believe all of Scripture as well and I believe God when He says that we can KNOW we have eternal life (1 John 5:13), that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8). It is GOD who preserves us and keeps us from falling (Jude 24) and our eternity is secure and that no one can snatch us from God's hand (John 10:28-29). We are sealed for the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30).

John 6:37-40 really cements this promise of God:

All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. “And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him, may have eternal life; and I Myself will raise him up on the last day,"

What M&Ms have to do with this subject, I have no idea.

Rev 21:7-8 “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God
and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers,
sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the
lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

    Please note the sample case:
“… you know that NO murderer has eternal life abiding in him” (1 John 3:15).

Obviously, we need to overcome all of these things!
No, wait ... sorry, 'tis not obvious at all to all, is it?

You are talking about habitual unrepentant liars, right?
    Then yes, absolutely!
ALL of the "sin list" passages apply to absolutely everyone.

And this even makes sense logically, right?
Would it be fair for an unbelieving habitual sinner to be punished
while a BAC habitual sinner doing the exact same thing is NOT punished?
Now, that's taking grace way too far ... taking advantage of God's goodness!

    You are an unrepentant liar.

You have habitually denied being Evangelist-7. Twice to a moderator and once to me.

You have not come clean and told the truth.

    Physician - heal thyself!

Or at least get your own sin "cleaned up" before you come here blasting away at us.

You see, if you don't repent of this, then all this proves it that this is all a big joke to you.

    You have no credibility.
