    "'Perseverance' had nothing to do with it!" :)

    I agree, Ed. I just meant that we cannot make any case for giving particular parts of the bible special significance on the basis of their verse or chapter position.

    I agree with this, as well. The center chapters, books, verses, etc. are merely statistical, and 'locative', to show that I stayed awake during at least one of my Greek classes.

    But I have a question about Scripture, that has little to do with what we have discussed, here. Can the words 'personally spoken' by the Lord Jesus Christ be given "special significance", as in Paul's statement , "But to the rest I, not the Lord, say ..."? This is 'elevating' what the Lord Jesus Christ said, above What Saint Paul Really Said, Wright? Or did I accidentally misread or mis-type something? ;)

    Thoughts?
