“Boots on the ground are coming”

Former Congressman and Libertarian icon Ron Paul warned last night that the GOP takeover of the Senate and increased stronghold on the House will only embolden interventionist foreign policy.

Dr Paul took to Twitter to prescribe a straight up shot of reality, and warn those celebrating the downfall of Democratic power, that there will be no real change in philosophy in Washington.

And the other side wonders how anybody could vote for a party that cares nothing about the poor and misfortunate, chases after financial success as if money is a god, and doesn't care about protecting the earth we've been given the responsibility to care for

Both parties fail to fulfill righteousness. But many have made a political party their god, placing their hope in Washington to make things good

Who thinks God is not pro life and against the killing of babies? Who thinks God's Word does not say sexual perversion is an abomination? For me those truths alone will not allow me to vote for anyone that does.

Let me put this in simple terms:

If your 5 year old wants to eat candy, ice cream, and soda pop all day long for 30 days straight - would you allow him to do so.
If you answered no - I would say why don't you care about children?
Of course the answer is that much junk food is not good for him.

Likewise, just giving money to people is not necessiarly the best thing to do.
The piece of the puzzle normally missing is responsibility.

I like the meme I have seen on FB - it says:“There is a sign, National Park Service, from the U.S. Department of the Interior, and it says, ‘please do not feed the animals.’ Stated reason: ‘The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.”

This is a bit delusional because the Democrat party being in power is a result, not cause, of those things.

America will continue to be anti-life, pro-perversion as long as the church remains unrepentant.

And we're stubborn so there won't be any stopping this rock from rolling on down the hill.

Probably the same way as so called evangelicals could bring themselves to vote for a Mormon man for President who summarily rejects Jesus Christ.[IMG]

    so you want a pastor-in-chief.

I don't disagree. But, the other side has a certain perception.

And if the perceived choice is between two sides that are evil in different ways, then what? It could be said that people endorse evil no matter which "side" they're on.

Conservatives are all about capitalism, no? But doesn't that foster a money-centered outlook on life? Can we serve God and mammon?

People can get in a tit-for-tat til eternity comes. The only righteous establishment will be Christ's Kingdom

    The OP said
Sounds like yall expect Congress to be Godly so why shouldn't I expect the President to be?

Why would I think that? All you should deduce from what I have said is that if they aren't followers of Jesus Christ, I wouldn't have voted for them.
