Publishers Errors

EVERY book and every Bible risks publisher's errors. These are NOT intentional, but it is fun to see how these errors "snuck" in and changed entire meanings.

Different publishers over the years have made over 100 various “editions” and "revisions" of the King James Version. Many have made errors in typeset, etc, and have become “famous” for these errors.

Of course, we laugh because we do the same thing with our typing, inverting letters or switching words.

• “He” Bible = 1611 KJV – “he” is inserted in Ruth</font>
• “She” Bible = 1611 KJV – “she” is in Ruth to replace “he”</font>
• “Judas’” Bible = 1611 KJV – the name of the son of God is “Judas” (instead of Jesus)</font>
• “Fool’s” Bible = 1619 KJV – the fool has said in his heart, “There is a God” (instead of no God)</font>
• “Wicked” Bible = 1631 KJV – “thou shalt commit adultery” (omitting “not”)</font>
• “Forgotten” Bible = 1638 KJV – “thy sins are forgotten” (to adulterous woman, instead of forgiven)</font>
• “More Sea” Bible = 1641 KJV – “there shall be more sea” (instead of “no more sea”)</font>
• “Unrighteous” Bible = 1653 KJV – “the unrighteous shall inherit the kingdom” (instead of righteous)</font>
• “Bad” Bible = 1653 KJV – “the disciples appointed” (instead of apostles, in Acts 6)</font>
• “Printer’s” Bible = 1702 KJV – “printers have persecuted me” (instead of princes)</font>
• “Sin On” Bible = 1716 KJV – “sin on” (instead of sin no more)</font>
• “Vinegar” Bible = 1717 KJV – “go in to the vinegar” (instead of vineyard)</font>
• “Stinging” Bible = 1746 KJV – “sting of his tongue” (instead of string)</font>
• “Denial” Bible = 1792 KJV – has “Philip” (instead of Peter in Acts 11)</font>
• “Murderers” Bible = 1801 KJV – in Jude there are “murderers” (instead of murmurers)</font>
• “Lion” Bible = 1804 KJV – “son cometh from his lions” (instead of loins)</font>
• “Lusty” Bible = 1804 KJV – “flesh lusteth after the spirit” (instead of against the spirit)</font>
• “Editor’s” Bible = 1805 KJV – “to remain” was added to text; editor’s note not to cut out a word</font>
• “Standing Fish” Bible = 1806 KJV – “standing fishes” (instead of standing fishers)</font>
• “Discharged” Bible = 1806 KJV – “I discharge you” (Paul to Timothy instead of charge)</font>
• “Ears” Bible = 1810 KJV – “He that hath ears to ear” (instead of hear)</font>
• “Wife Hater” Bible = 1810 KJV – “hate his father and mother and his own wife” (instead of life)</font>

• “Camel” Bible = 1823 KJV – “Rebekah arose and her camels (instead of damsels)</font>
