As a reflection of Catholic doctrine:
    a Catholic padre prayed:
Is the Catholic Church unsure about the salvation of these men?
Is the prayer of this priest going to put these men into heaven even if they are unsaved?
Does he believe as the Muslims do that all martyrs dying in war automatically go to heaven?
How does praying "Deliver them from evil" help one who has already died? He is either in hell or heaven. What evil can God deliver him from now?

I saw two priests on EWTN talking about the death of JPII. They said that it was wonderful that he died right after receiving Holy Communion because THAT meant he had just been absolved of all sin and would not spend time in Purgatory. They spoke of this "timing" as though it was a great blessing to be spared all the evil torments of Purgatory!

It is unclear from the prayer above if the "evil" is God's system of Hell or God's system of Purgatory.

One thing is clear - in the afterlife they view God as the author of evil.

    In Christ,

    Bob

One thing is very clear; Roman Catholic strongly confess that they are not going to Heaven or Paradise after death but to Purgatory where they have to spend indefinite years ( maybe million years or billion years) and their destiny will depend on the prayers and alms-giving by their relatives. We know that such prayers and alms-giving will not be sufficient to satisfy God as Romans said " all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"
Nothing but redemption by Jesus can satisfy God.

Their Eternal service in Purgatory is guaranteed by the Bible teaching!
They will have to stay in the Purgatory eternally because they expect they will rely on other people's good work which will never be sufficient to God.

However, we the true Christian believers born again in Jesus Christ are going to the Heaven via Paradise as the Robber went to along with Jesus Christ! How much grateful to Jesus we are.
How much we are blessed by virtue of Jesus Christ as we go to Heaven by Grace, as like free of charge ( It was awefully expensive but Jesus paid on our behalf! It is never cheap but extremely expensive, however Jesus paid in our stead!) Thank you Lord Jesus Christ !

So, 2 religions are quite different and Roman Catholics strongly confess that they are different from Christians based on Bible.

Roman Catholic strongly confess that they are not going to Heaven via Paradise, but to Purgatory in order to live the painful life there indefinitely!

By insisting on Purgatory, Roman Catholic become very much honest as they are not going to the heaven
