Question about generation

How many generations are there between Abraham & up to the time Jesus was born?
I'm sorry i added years to the question. It was meant as how many generations.

A. 120
B. 36
C. 67
D. 42

I am a little confused on the question. You asked how many generations and then only gave years as choices.

It was about 2000 years (I'll let historians give more precise numbers). As far as generations are concerned, Matt 1:17 says there are 42.
