If I'm not mistaken, there was a forum section here before where members could advertise their services, stuff for sale, promote their websites, etc..

I don't see it. Am I missing it? Are we still allowed to do that?

I'd like to advertise myself, but not sure of what may be the new law concerning this here!

    Thanks.

Not sure but I was under the impression if you wanted to advertise anything you had to pay for it now.

I believe, Gina that you have to contact the webmaster if you want to do any advertising now

I think----for a fee---he will set you up with one of those highlighted "do-ma-flitch-ees" you see on your screen that anyone there can click on

As for having a forum like you have in mind---I don't think so

How is everything up in Canada????---I mean, Alaska??? Can Governor Palin see your house from hers???

    Bro. David

I don't believe we've ever had a forum like that, Gina.

Any advertising now has to go through Andrew, the webmaster and must be paid for.

Even links construed as advertising are deleted.

I'm not so sure anyone can advertise "themself" in here..One can try to advertise products, but "self", even if it is a bargain.:applause:

Gina, I think back in the day early on, there may have been a forum, or at minimum, a thread, but I think it was short lived, with changing hands, if not before then.

Saggy is correct. It was under the original owner of the BB and was short-lived because it was abused early on.

I remember a preacher who advertised himself. He left the wage open..in fact, I think he left that up to the church..even nothing was acceptable. It seemed like a weird offer to my mind.

No one here could afford me if I was up on offer. I have already been bought with a high price and no one can match that; I am priceless! :saint:

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good one Jim!

Blackbird, she should be able to but there's a moose in the way! And everything out here is cold but wonderful! I just got higher internet speed yesterday, so was looking to make it more wonderful by picking up more work online.

It's a beautiful place to live. The wildlife, the sparkles, ten men to every woman, the wonderful sunsets, the amazing weather changes, ten men to every woman, the vast quietness, the slow pace, ten men to every woman...

We had a moose wandering about, but haven't seen it in over a year. Will 27 deer in the back garden do? We see them all the time, and plenty of other wildlife. We don't have 10 men for every woman, however.

We do get the snow and cold, but it is the end of January and we didn't even get the January thaw this year.

High speed in Alaska! By the time it reaches there it is prolly down to my speed. High speed is available two miles from me, but we can't even use cell phones in our area,,,,thankfully.

Even in posting here, I am so slow, that by the time I respond to a post they have moved on to a new target....

    Cheers,

    Jim

My wife uses a similar term about me. Let's see... I believe she said that I was worthless! Priceless/worthless - aren't they about the same?

That makes ten times the dirty socks lying around, ten times the toilet seat in the upright position, ten times the empty roll of TP, ten times the dirty dishes in the sink, table, under the sofa, etc., ten times the number of "Hey guys, watch this!", ten times the cars on blocks behind the barn because someday.... Kinda like a never-ending deer camp.

Yep, it must be a beautiful place

Good grief man! You just completely ruined it for me! I'd not quite looked at it that way before.

Suddenly I don't feel so good.

If I had to put the toilet seat down for 10 men, someone would have to die.

Keeping up with one man and two boys is enough for me. 10 men? EEK! Especially in this country where the whole world is their urinal. I'm not joking. They know you're a foreigner if you find some trees to hide behind (I'm speaking of males, of course).

I grew up with 3 women in house; wife and two daughters. I learned my lesson about loo seats, so I just leave it down all the time so I don't forget.....

Not really. I framed my own loo!

    Cheers,

    Jim

PS. Chasing rabbits? I should like to hear about that.
