I would not recommend this movie to anyone. I watched on DVD and at the end, I went to the second disc thinking there would be more. Two Thumbs Down for this one. The Ape's voices sounded like a voice ampliphyer. What are your opinions on this re-make? The only good movies I have seen in 2001 seems to be Harry Potter and SHREK(Which was not at all clean.) All the rest were lame. I value your opinions. Again, 2 thumbs down for Planet of the Apes 2000.

Planet of the Apes was OK, but that is all you could say about it as a whole. However, I thought the best part was the ending, it was a total suprise.

Shrek was really funny and I enjoyed it. But, (you knew the but was comming didn't you) it is NOT A CHILDRENS MOVE. The music is inapproiate, there is some foul language in the lyrics. We bought the video, then gave it away because of the music. We gave it to someone who did not have young children.

By far the best movie I have seen in a long time was Monsters, Inc. Everyone young and old will enjoy it.

I am looking foward to seeing Lord of the Rings.

I didn't like the ending. I went to the other DVD disc thinking there would be more! It was all bonus material. :(

The ending of this version tried to mimic the ending of the original book that the movies were based on. Suffice to say, it didn't grab it.

The director and writers for the first movie, with Charleton Heston, were trying to make a statement with their movie; the same can't be said for this remake, and because they tried to turn it into an action flick instead of a morality play, it lost a lot.

    I thought it was OK.
Didn't like the ending, but I kinda figured it'd end like that, and was expecting it, (because of the old take-offs)

Just got through reading a "review" of the new "Rollerball"; just as I feared, they've done it with this one, too.

The original Rollerball was a decent commentary (some might call it satire) about the rich elite and the influence one person can have, the hope that one person can bring.

They've re-done the new one to be an action flick.

So I believe it will turn out just like the new Apes did--okay, but uninteresting.
