    Hello all,

First off, hello to all again after a long break. I am again seeking some advice from other Baptists.

My wife and I are visiting a Church. This Church uses Hillsong music. My understanding is that whenever Hillsong music is used in a Church, that Church is required to cut a check to Hillsong. Is this correct?

I think that giving money to Hillsong is sinful as I consider Hillsong to be of the prosperity Gospel group which misleads people, and is therefore not a New Testament Church.

If this Church is sending money to Hillsong, should this point of contention be enough to not join a Church? If it's not a big enough issue in your opinion, and we join, how can we tithe in good conscience? How do y'all handle Hillsong stuff?

If they are buying the sheet music for each of their singers and musicians, the royalties should be included.
