This is just simply not true. And in fact the majority of union members would disagree with RS. They also have little to know idea what the AFL-CIO is up to. They go to work and go home mainly concerned with their daily lives. Most are hard working individuals who are just trying to earn a living and take care of their families.

By the way nutcase Grayson will be challenged by a very godly man who served in the state Senate for a good number of years. His name is Daniel Webster and he is of the utmost integrity and can be trusted in all things.

If unions are so healthy for our workforce now (note I said "now")...then tell me:
    • Why is Detroit (and Michigan) imploding?
    • Why is Alabama taking off in auto production?
    • Why are sub-par cars such as GM (government motors) and Chrysler (remember when they were worth owning?) often times more than better-built, more reliable comps from other makers?
    • What is the principle cause of the academic decline in America?
    One word: Unions.

Did they have a place at one time? Yep.

Have they fallen to corruption? Mostly. (and with regards to AFL-CIO, Teamsters at the national level, yes; with regard to organized crime gangs like SEIU...are you kidding me?)

Are they needed? Not much. For inherently very dangerous jobs (such as mining)...there could be a watchdog status that is worthwhile. But...government workers needing a union? Get real.

What exactly what would they disagree with me own? I go to work, work hard and take care of my family. When the place I work at has a union, I join, when they don't I work without a union. I have never orgainzed a union or had anything to do with them except work where they happen to be.

I'm mainly interested in the piece of the pie I earn.

The USSR was a constitutional republic. Why is this such a big deal?

You do not earn any of the pie. You get compensated for your labor. The pie is the sole property of the business owner.

    Facts are your friends.

Of course, they're lonely at the moment...

Come on Rev! The "pie" is the profit the company makes. I am paid out of that profit. So, in essence, I do get a piece of the pie.

I think profit would be what they have after they pay employees.

Agree 100% with the citation. Not even the CPUSA is always wrong.
