Which of the Republican candidates for the 2008 Presidential Election are you backing. (NB: Taking into account that not all candidates will get through the primaries, which do you think is the most likely to face the Democratic candidate in '08?)

Way to early. I'll say Mike Huckabee. I don't know a great deal about his politics, but if it is like he used to preach, it would be ok with me. I have preached at the church he pastored back in the 70's while he was the pastor. Seemed to be a good Christian at that time and a very good pastor, so far now I'll go with him, thing could change and I'm sure they will. I don't think he can get the national backing but I said Clinton couldn't get it either.

Once Thompson declares his intentions to run, I expect the more conservative candidates to exit the picture (all except for Paul). At the end of the day, there will be four Republican candidates -- Romney, Guiliani, Thompson and McCain.

Fred Thompson, if he gets serious about running.

I voted for Fred Thompson above (although I favor Ron Paul). However, a pundit pointed out the Giuliani could win large states like California, New York, Pennsylvania, etc., so Giuliani unfortunately could win enough primaries to win the nomination.

I am a grassroot Wyoming supporter of Fred.

I've seen what he can do to Jack McCoy and have no doubts about his ability to run the nation :)
