Petty or not Wilson seems to have given his opponent a big shot of financial help in his campaign.

If I was a bettin' man, I'd bet the farm that Wilson trounces any democrat that runs against him, no matter how much money the Chicago political machine puts in his kitty.

He's got the truth on his side.

Not really. Also, according to the head of the Republican party in Sun City, Hilton Head, SC calls are being received and people are canceling vacations trips to South Carolina. I had not thought about the economic fallout that might occur.

The NAACP called for a boycott of SC some years ago but it failed.

South Carolina is not going to let the Chicago hoods or the democrat party dictate who they send to Congress.

I supose those on the 'left' think telling the truth is behaving badly, as opposed to what, telling lies, like obama, which is perfectly acceptable, even to christians.

Wilson has admitted that Obama was technically right, so he [Obama] could not have been lying and technical correct at the same time.

I believe you are reading something into your source that is not there. I have posted the following somewhere else on this forum but it is pertinent here. So read it and weep crabtownboy. Not that you will believe anything that does not comport with your bias.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/10/house-democrats-consider-punishing-wilson-outburst/

House Minority Leader John Boehner said Thursday that, according to a Congressional Research Service report, illegal immigrants would indeed be covered, defending Wilson's assertion even though he called the manner in which he delivered it "inappropriate."

Obamacare won't cover illegal immigrants? Yes it will, says Congressional Research Service

Among the many claims being made durng the August recess by Democrats from President Obama,*Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-NV, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, to the lowliest back-bencher is that Obamacare absolutely, positively, cannot possibly ever in a million, zillion years provide coverage to illegal immigrants.

Just this past weekend during his regular Saturday address - devoted to addressing what he called "false claims about reform" -* Obama said he wants "an honest debate"*on health care reform, "not one dominated by willful misrepresentations and outright distortions."

In what he called the "first myth" being spread by critics of his proposal for a government-run health care system, Obama said they are*wrong in claiming illegal*immigrants will be covered: "That is not true. Illegal immigrants would not be covered. That idea has not even been on the table." Obama said.

Well, Mr. President, that idea must have been tucked under a stack of background briefing papers over there in the corner of the table because the Congressional Research Service (CRS) says this about H.R. 3200, the Obamacare bill approved just before the recess by the House Energy and Commerce Committee chaired by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA:

"Under H.R. 3200, a 'Health Insurance Exchange' would begin operation in 2013 and would offer private plans alongside a public option…H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange."
    *
CRS also notes that the bill has no provision for*requiring those seeking coverage or services to provided proof of citizenship. So, absent some major amendments to the legislation and a credible, concrete enforcement effort in action, looks like the myth on this issue is*the one being spread by Obama, Reid, Pelosi, et. al.

    Read and weep Old Regular:

Note the next quote is Wilson's admission:

If you do a bit of checking you will find that illegal aliens already can purchase private health insurance.

Fox gave a biased report and ignored parts of the bill.

Quote the entire blurb, please... I'll do it for you.

I'm not sure why you're quoting talkrational's forums anyway.

You can talk yourself blue, but illegals will gain from this. You can't say they won't just because in the bill it says they won't... there's got to be some mechanism to keep them from getting it. With the logic you and Obama are using we could also say there are no illegal aliens in the United States, because it says in a law somewhere that it's illegal to enter the US without a visa. What a crock.

The above factcheck showed Obama lied or misled on a number of instances.

I read the Section 246 in HR3200. However, Judge Napalatano(sp?) of Fox News said that under Federal Court rulings regarding laws that were general in scope all people in the country would be covered.

Crabby pretends to be unable to differentiate between "technically correct" and "honest".

He often hangs his hat on some technically correct detail while full well knowing that he is not being honest in his position.

    It's an old cramudgeon tactic.

That's really disturbing that Miller is running for office and doesn't know that this isn't a chain of command issue. The president has no authority over Congress and isn't their superior.

Does this mean that if he were to win, that he'd submit to Obama is if Obama were his superior?
