Returning to the Baptist Board

    By way of introduction, I am a simple Christian without any theological training other than the Bible and quite a few books by various theologians. I attend a Southern Baptist church, but some of my views are not traditional Baptist - e.g., I hold to the Partial Preterist view of the "End Times" and I lean toward Reformed (aka Calvinist) views.

    I was pretty active for several months, but dropped off the BB about 18 months ago because I felt it was taking up too much of my time. I have recently settled into retirement, and find myself busier than I had anticipated. Still, I have missed some "forum friends" I used to chat with.

    Me too. Way too many people want to argue if you don't just echo their views. I thought the idea behind our discussions was to expand our own ideas, to see what the other guy thinks.
