Folks...I am not knocking the chap. I admitted I didn't know of him. My comment was based on the words quoted in this thread, and then my opinion.

If you all say he was great and his music was Christocentric, then who am I to argue?

    Cheers,

    Jim

No offense intended, dude. Some have tried to argue (not in this particular discussion) that since he wasn't the greatest singer, that his songs have less merit. I disagree with that sentiment. I love Rich's songs. Sorry to tread upon a nerve.

Jim, if I came across too forcefully, I apologize. Didn't want to seem like I was jumping all over you.:tonofbricks:

No problem, Joshua,,,I didn't get that impression...I was just clarifying that I was ignorant to that chap's work.

    Cheers,

    Jim

If you were to look at a cross section of Rich's music you would see that it was not only very Christocentric, but also very Biblical in that some of his lyrics were pulled straight out of Scripture (a LOT of the Psalms come to mind as i mention that).
For a while, IMHO, he was one of he redeeming factors for "Christian" music in the early 90's when it seemed that many in the genre were watering down their message.

And no offense here on the comments about him and music either.
