Perhaps it is a trap. See what Christians show up and then exterminate them.

If that happens, I guess, Rick Warren has fulfilled "His Purpose".

I guess the possibility that Rick Warren might just deliver a clear gospel message and some come to faith in Christ is out of the question? Maybe I said to much...

I wasn't ripping on him. I like some of his stuff. I dislike some of his stuff. However, his Hawaiian shirts are a little over the top for me...

I pray that he does deliver a clear gospel message!

You misunderstood me. I believe it is entirely possible that Rick Warren can go to N. Korea and deliver a solid gospel message. I pray that is exactly what he will do.

I wasn't ripping on him. I agree with my other SBC bud - I like some of his stuff, I dislike some of his stuff. I take what I like and can use in ministry, but I don't tear him down for what I dislike.

It's kind of like the BB - I like some of what I read, I dislike some of what I read.

But, you don't see me tearing down those who disagree with.

    And let me add...

If God can speak through a donkey...
If God can speak through me...
Can God speak through Rick Warren too???

    Rick Warren and the Gospel

(reposting this because of the dreaded server busy error... grrr...)

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&domains=www.wayoflife.org&sitesearch=www.wayoflife.org&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=rick+warren+gospel&spell=1

Anyone who dismisses this....is simple putting thier fingers in their ears and going "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA" to ignore the issue... he is classic New Evangelical Doctrine, that promotes a "Rock and Roll" Christianity Lifestyle, With No Seperation and No stand on doctrine.
This was one of the BIG reasons I left the Pentecostal movement. Last Church I was in, started passing these books out. I read the book over and realized what I was in to.... Needless to say, I left the Church and after 6 months of hard Studying of the Word, Praying, Soul searching... and a little crying... I came to decision to leave pentecostalism for good. Not only because of thier flawed doctrines, because also of thier embracing of this very stuff right here. it's Robert Schuller theology repackaged for the Baptists... just that simple.

Perhaps he was inspiried of God via Billy Graham

I don't know all the details or the framework of his visit ,but I also did not know that much about Billy Graham when he took great risk into going to Russia.

Seems the baptist denominations are thriving over there now ..been to a couple and they were packed with people.

We shall see what we shall see and hope for the best.

    More here:

I am disturbed by the jokes on this thread. We in the West have no idea what it is to suffer for the cause of Jesus Christ. I am concerned, not about Rick Warren going to preach, but about the fact that he is allowed to go there to preach, and believe this could very well be a trap to identify more Christians who will then be tortured and slaughtered. We need to pray about this instead of making jokes, IMO.

Who said we were not praying?

In the meantime, what is wrong with a couple laughs about Warrens choice of shirts? It is all harmless fun that does not stop any one of us from praying for the situation.
