RIP Jack Anderson

    Jack Anderson was the first political columnist I ever read, mostly because the Washington Post had his column on the comics page. I loved reading who had been caught doing what (still do, at heart).

    Here (linkie) is a rundown of his long career in journalism (I didn't know he was buddies, then ex-buddies, with Joe McCarthy & LBJ).

    And here (linkie) is a nice eulogy from Murray Waas of the Village Voice.

    Jack Anderson was the first political columnist I ever read too. I was a teenager and it was during the days of Watergate.
