The Ron Paul story never seems to end -- and yet never seems to quite make it into the mainstream media. That's because, in the political equivalent of a bank shot, Paul's fringe support helps bleach embarrassing stains from the Democrats.

First there is the revelation that Jim C Perry, the "Orthodox Jewish" head of "Jews for Paul" also calls himself a gay pagan Unitarian.

Now it turns out that Perry, Paul's point man in response to questions raised by the Jewish Telegraph Agency, is also accused of stealing money from the local New Hampshire branch of the Libertarian Party. What a great guy! It's only an accusation. And the "Libertarian" Perry was in 2006 running for New Hampshire Legislature as a Democrat.

    From the article:

    ........
And, yes Ron Paul donor 9-11 "troother" Alex Jones did post it. And it did go ‘viral'. But no that doesn't mean the 9-11 "troothers" are integral to the Ron Paul campaign because ...uh...uh... (insert Paulite rationalization here). ......

If all you can keep mustering up to smear Ron Paul is "guilt by association" then that one leg yer standing on is a bit wobbly brother.

I am a supporter of Ron Paul, not a supporter of the supporters of Ron Paul.

I reckon there are people contributing to the campaigns of all of the Democratic and Republican candidate campaigns that I would not want anything to do with.

I still will be surprised if Ron Paul doesnt run as a third party. His hatred for his own party will be his way to get revenge when he loses in the primaries. Besides, his supporters will demand a third party run. He will steal more votes from the right than he will from the left. He will be Giulian's (or Romney's, or Huckabee's) Ross Perot.

I will be surprised if Ron Paul runs as a minor party or independent presidential candidate.

He has already stated that he will run for re-election to his Congressional seat if he doesn't win the GOP presidential nomination.

He already went the minor party route in 1988 as the Libertarian Party candidate. He knows that most of the campaign funds have to be used for ballot access efforts.
