I have an idea LB. Lets get all the windbag democrats in the country and let them peddle a bike while they are blowing on a wind turbine. Then we will be energy independent and soon free of democrats.

Let me know when we start that policy okay.

No I'm not joking at all. How is it that meat packing plants can get away with things like that? Consumers continue to purchase their products. Stop purchasng their tainted products and they'll either produce better products or go under.

    The FDA?

Bought and paid for by powerful lobbies. How do think the Bayer company was able to get away with selling HIV tainted blood supplies over seas when they knew full well it was tainted after it's sale was banned here?

What happened to the Bayer company after it chose profit over personal responsibility by infecting unsuspecting millions of people with HIV?

Nothing! Nada! Zip! Zilch! Zero! Where was the outrage? Where was the mass media?

Now your the one doing the joking.

Sure in a fantasy world maybe but we live in a world where the likes of Al Gore and Barrack Obama and their Wall Street banker buddies can set up a scam, feed us a line of lies and scary stories that the mass media (who just so happens to be owned and operated by the same people who stand to profit from the scam) runs day and night propaganda to sell the scam as if it were the gospel truth.

Darn near and getting closer every minute our bought and paid for congress is in session.

In this you are sorely mistaken my friend. We no longer have freedoms in this country instead what we have in reality is privileges which are granted by government. We live under the color of law and office in case you hadn't noticed and from the sounds of it you haven't. Whenever you can lose your "right" to say own a firearm (for example) because some faceless bureaucrat decides to put you on a "no fly list" that may take several months or years and more money than you have to clear your name in court you no longer have freedom.

You have tyranny. Maybe you can remain blissfully ignorant and ignore it and live with it maybe even learn to like it but, the founders of this nation couldn't and neither can I.

And how were the people supposed to know body parts were in the meat? How is average joe citizen supposed to know that cow disease or some other disease is in the meat? I guess you kind of have a point, if the meat kills you then you won't buy anymore.

No matter how you define it, it is the closest thing to freedom anywhere in the world. I still say it is sad to see those who have the most just complain and complain about not having. You ever think to thank the Lord for what you do have instead of being unappreciative about what you don't?

I'm not ignorant, I am thankful to God for this country and all that comes with it including the freedom to criticize the government and belly ache about everything.

Poncho, do you have any clue about what real tyranny would be like?

Poncho, let the personal attack questions go. If anyone had a counter point to your last brilliant post, they would put it up.

Good stuff, mate. Hope you had a good fourth. I went into the mountains, feasted on fresh west-slope cutthroat trout, kokanee & whitefish.

Sounds like a great 4th Bro Curtis. I judged a BBQ cook off between a few of the members. We had people drive plates to seniors and fed anyone who came up. Fresh fish sounds 10 times better. Been years since I've gone fishing though I do have a sign...

I can't speak for poncho but I would guess "probably not". However, given the desires of "bo" I suspect we will all soon find out.

Of course it is possible that the economic collapse will force him out of office. I can just see Harry and Pelosi marching up to the White House to tell "bo" he has to "go".

I find it rather amazing that these folks would have to ask me if I know what tyranny is Bro! Like duh, haven't they read the declaration of independence? Or the constitution? Or the words of our founding fathers?

    Haven't they studied history?

But then I guess when your ears are full of corporate honey and your head is buried firmly in the sand and you trust government to do what's right you have a hard time knowing what tyranny is because it just sounds like such a great idea instead of the evil it is.

I had a good fourth of July. Didn't eat any fresh mountain fish but I did spend time with family and talked to some folks I haven't heard from in a long long while.

Oh and BTW you democratic Obamanites who wouldn't know what tyranny was if it bit you on the left cheek...this is tyranny...not to mention just downright evil aren't you glad to have voted for it now?

We already know that, well some of us already know that it's the way big agribusiness raise and feed their cattle that has caused mad cow and various strains of virus, some of which have been advertized as the latest global threat to mankind. Have you stopped purchasing their products or do you continue to purchase them in spite of the fact this information has been widely distributed?

The same goes for chickens and hogs. Keeping animals caged up by the thousands with no room to move and feeding them dead anmals including "down cows" is not the way to raise healthy animals for human consumption. You already know the meat is bad! There's no guess work involved.

I define liberty as freedom from government coercion. You obviously define it much differently.

If I seem unappreciative it's only because I don't appreciate people trying to tell me complacency and tyrants are blessings from God because clearly they are not.

If you aren't ignorant then stop acting as if you are.

I have lived in several countries and Poncho is right on. He is recognizing tyranny right before our blind eyes take our nation down. It does not mean he has to live in a country with worse tyranny to see it here. Poncho is one of the few people on this board who recognize what both parties, corporations, Wall Street elites, and lobbyists are doing to this country, and how together they have taken this nation so far from the Constitution, it is nothing more than a document to observe as a tourist attraction. It is those of you who defend one party and bash another that do not have a clue. If one cannot see all politicians are robbing the American people daily instead of serving them, then nothing will ever change.

First of all, what does living in other countries have to do with this country and this debate?

If you are riding the same train as LeBuick trying to convince us that we have it so much better in this country than others do you may be right, for now...but seeing as how given we all seem to be to complacency and apathy along with our practically blind trust of big brother government (so long as our side is in the majority) how long before we become like those other countries?

Don't you think this country is worth defending while we are still in a position to do so without guns and blood? How long can you let tyranny go un-noticed and un-checked before it's too late?

How long can you set on the fence and watch this nation of ours being destroyed our manufacturing base being dismantled and our wealth being confiscated before you wake up and smell the global tyranny?

Do we have to become like those other countries before you all start your own "bellyaching"?

"All it takes for evil to flourish is for good men (and women) to do nothing." -- Edmund Burke

There is enough people in our country who are sick of the two parties and their corporate thugs from stealing from the American people and perverting the Constitution to crush the present power structure. It is reflected in those who do not bother to vote, who are independent, or who make themselves go to the polls and vote for the lesser of the two evils. All it would take is for someone to tap it and unite it, someone to inspire that same spirit that caused the Revolution.

My opinion is we need to take some of that stimulus money and have a penitentary just for the present politicians, lobbyists, corporate and Wall Street crooks run like the the famous Arizona sheriff does. Live in tents summer and winter, and chain gangs every day.
