And herein lies the double standard. KJVOist feel free to use Ruckman as a valid source when it suits them, but when he's a bad source he's bad, but it's fine to use his "valid" material; then they turn around and accuse the MV's of using sources who are bad on certain issues (A/A, W/H, et.al.) some of the time and automatically rule them out as valid sources altogether.

    Which is it?

There we have it, folks...straight from a KJVOnlyist. They can cite whomever they want no matter how heretical their other teachings might be, but we don't get the same consideration.

Thanks, Terry, for showing how intellectually dishonest the KJVOnly camp really is.

And it's this type of thinking that gets the KJVO Camp in trouble. The KJV teaches us to be honest but KJVOism teaches us to be dishonest when needed to defend the KJVO myth.

KJVOism covers a multitude of sins!

Terry you really make me sad my brother.

Well I'm sure to lose some sleep over this.

Haven't you people understood what I am saying? I use the KJV, the church I attend uses the KJV. My friends use the KJV. The churches I visit use the KJV. I don't give a <snipped for taste> what version any of you use! I also don't feel obligated to answer any of your foolish questions. I am not trying to convince any of you to switch versions, I really don't care. However, I will voice my opinion whether you like it or not!

No one is perfect...but SOME are DELIBERATELY imperfect...and Ruckman is one of'em.

Percentage-wise, HITLER told fewer windies than has Ruckman, and they had one thing in common...being DELIBERATELY imperfect. So, feel free to use Ruckman's stuff when it seems to boost your agenda...just don't complain when someone uses some of HITLER'S stuff.

At least Hitler freely admitted to his inner circle that he didn't hesitate to lie if it served his purpose.

Amazing, a reference to the posterior of a rodent is edited, but comparing a Christian to Hitler is allowed. This shows the spirit of this forum, and the attitude of the moderators.

No, it just shows the moderators knew what a distasteful statement you made. There's nothing distasteful about the truth that Hitler admitted he would lie if it fit his purpose. Why must you try to turn everything in to a fight, Mr. Herrington?

Who here has the "Sky Angel" satellite service?

Ruckman is on every Friday night at 7:00. He does a "chalk talk", with a very clear and biblical message, every week. He rarely mentions the debate over MV's, and when he does it is only in passing.

He's a "straight shooter" kind of preacher, but does not come across hateful at all.

I think it is always better to deal with the message than to shoot the messenger.

Of all people to criticize me for turning everything into a fight, you are certainly not one to talk, Mr. 1984.

I just made a couple of simple observations and asked a simple question. I certainly don't turn everything into a fight, and I don't criticize the moderators even when they cut my posts. If one doesn't like the possibility of their posts being snipped, maybe they should watch what they say and how they say it. We know the Mr. Ruckman doesn't do this. I certainly hope you don't count yourself among his followers.

That is sure different than what I read at http://www.aomin.org/ruckcor.html

So does he talk out of both sides of his mouth?

I don't consider myself a follower of Mr. Ruckman or any other person, except perhaps my pastor. I just know that often Ruckman is misrepresented as though he alone is responsible for KJVO beliefs.

Sometime remember Acts 17:11, "Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so."

You bet keep reading your Bible. I'm kind of like Mark Twain in that I don't have a problem with what I don't understand so much as I do with the little I do understand. I have trouble enough each day just trying to be all that God wants me to be.
