I guess you have never heard Neil Boortz, who at one time, was the most liberal talk show in Atlanta. Now he is a little more conservative. I guess he goes with the money.

So, Rush has to match 2,000,000 and change. I imagine that he had no idea the bid would be anywhere near this high, and seeing him have to give this much does offer some satisfaction on my part. And, the best thing is that this worthwhile charity gets over 4,000,000!

They would have had over $6 million if Reid had any honor at all.

Sure they are. Gutless because he took the chickenhawk way out of serving in Vietnam. Worthless because he added to the political conversation through entertainment back in the late 80s and through the 90s but now he is not even funny much and he certainly is not adding anything worthwhile to the political conversation.

Huh? Why should Senator Reid be forced to follow Limbaugh's in this matter. Is not Senator Reid's money his own to do with as he wishes?

Anyone who thinks that Limbaugh did this stunt out of purely altruistic motives is deceived.

And they would have $2,000 more if your taxes we're raised $2,000 and earmarked accordingly, but the last I checked we both stood for economic freedom.

Is this how libs are going to sooth their conscience on this. To falsely and unfoundedly suggest that he is having to give more than he wants to? What ever helps you to sleep at night.:sleeping_2:

For once, I agree with you, 2 Timothy2:1-4. Why would Rush's losing money console someone?

If those who make such silly comments had listened to Rush's show tey would now be embarrassed for having said such. He expected this from the begining for several reasons:

    1. Because this is a current example and evidence of one of the most recent abuses of power by the libs.

    2. There are plenty of people with this kind of money who support Rush's views and listen to his show.

    3. These same people would be more than willing to support this organization.

    4. Any time rush does something like this this is always the amount of moiney he expects to be involved.

I guess you need to learn to read better.

I never said anything about Rush not wanting to give. I said that 2,000,000 is a lot of money for almost anyone, including Mr. Limbaugh, in my opinion. I don't doubt he supports this cause.

In my short time here, I have noticed that you have a tendency to argue with most posters you encounter, especially if that poster is a democrat. You seem to live by this delusion that all democrats are evil and have to be opposed regardless of their individual beliefs.

Please, while you are improving your reading skills, learn to realize that people are individuals and not carbon-copies of some preconceived notion you have.

Well said. People are individuals, not some monolithic force.

No no I read just fine let me remind you of what you actually said:

Again you imagined that Rush had no idea that he would have to give this much and you found satisfaction in the fact that he had to give more than you for unknown reasons percieved he thought he would have to. And agasin I read just fine.

As far as the accusation of arguing with most poster I encounter; this is a debate forum. Without an opposing view there is no "debate".

You Rush haters ought to stick to a more factual line of reasoning.

True. Limbaugh certainly doesn't speak for the average American.

The leftist agenda is no more or less evil incarnate than the rightist agenda.

One thing is very clear. Limbaugh made the people who signed that letter look like idiots.

And Rush started this charity, and none of us will ever know how many millions he has allready given them, and other charities, the speculation on how much he wants to give is disgusting.

I thought we weren't supposed to judge. Isn't that the left's mantra ?

Personally, I am glad that Limbaugh is giving some of his unfathomable wealth(compared to an average American) to a charity.

To say that Rush's view doesn't represent the average American cannot be supported. However, He has the highest ratings in all of talk radio and he is the most wealthy in all of talk radio as a result of his program and his views. Advertisers advertise on his program because he is so highly supported.
