Actuallt it speaks volumes by principle. Those principles you choose to ignore.

Your ideal is taking away from Scripture's use as being profitable for doctrine and reproof.

The conclusion of the effects of anything is proof for some of us concerning any activity and its dangers. Why not for you? I dare say LIBERAL MODERNISTIC mindsets.

No, actually God gave us a new nature as his Spirit indwells our HEARTS that doesn't rely on man's wisdom and his logic to rationalise the word of God to his own liking.

Is 55:9 is still in my Bible, yours?

Seems you're now questioning yourself as to whether it does or does not.:tongue3:

Does that mean Don won't be able to have children in the future? Especially, when you consider what happened to David's first wife.

Ummm - not at all in the last gazillion years (or so it seems) but even when I DID listen to love songs, it never sent me into a s3xual frenzy. Ever.

But today? I pretty much only listen to worship music. Uh-oh!! I just realized! The CD I have in my car is "The Best of Passion.....So Far". I guess I'm maybe in trouble.

But then again, I'm not driven to anything physical but spiritual when I listen. I mean, just the other day a song actually drove me to ....... gasp ...... PRAY!!!!!

    NOOOO!!! not that!!!

We can't have Christians listening to songs with rhythm... and praying!!!

Next thing we know we will have Christians, bowing at an altar...
Or youth turning from sin... while listening to POD!!!

    OH NOO>..

    That rocks my cultural world!

All I have seen posted so far is high-mindedness and innuendo.

And I'm guessing that is all we will ever see on this subject.

The beat goes on, the beat goes on
Drums keep pounding a rhythm to the brain
La de da de de, la de da de da

(In my best Sonny Bono impersonation)

OK, now back to our regular scheduled programing.

    Make the connection?

It has to do with rejoicing in the Lord as one of His lambs for the return of the presence and power of God in the kingdom. Psalm 37 has alot to do with this delight in the Lord and NOTHING to do with childbearing.

Expand on the principle taught on the dance of Herodious' daughter before Herod on what type of driving rhythm would have been played as she seduced that king WITHOUT allowing that principle to tell us what sort of music should be associated with that dance. Then apply the full meaning of abstaining from every appearance of evil WITHOUT consideration of the impression music has upon the type of dance.:tonofbricks:

WSB 750 in Atlanta Ga plays certain music that a frequenter of Las Vegas identified as "stripper music". This dude is LOST and he knows something about music most Christians deny!:tongue3:
