    These days, it is easy to add pictures and illustrations to paper documents. Even budget word processors have the ability to incorporate images.

    Many of us forget that, at one time, manuscripts were written by hand. Illustrations were also painstakingly added by hand.

    You’re probably wondering what this has to do with technology. OK, I’ve been watching a video of a scribe creating a manuscript. It is nothing short of amazing. But it’s just one of the things you’ll see at the British Library’s Sacred site.

    You can peruse Jewish, Christian and Muslim sacred texts. In some cases, you can even flip through the full texts.
