Sad Father's Day Message

    Kind of a sad admission by David (in his dying words) that God has an ideal and his family failed in reaching that. David wanted it, but it didn't happen.

    Gives hope to all fathers, don't you think?

    I'm not exactly sure how David's failure as a father gives me hope.

    It definitely means that I can fail, too, and it certainly motivates me to try to do a better job with my children than David did with his.

    Quite a sobering verse, though, and very applicable to Father's Day.
