Not really. She wanted to die a "martyr's" death, remember ?
It's not sad that she lost her life, or that her children and grandchildren lost a mother and a grandmother.
They wanted that as well as she did. One of her sons said, "they were happy".
Given that I am flabbergasted whenever I see Arabs wailing as if the world had come to an end because their sons or daughters died in an erroneous Israeli bombing raid.
Heck, they blow themselves up, they're happy to have children who blow themselves up, what is the big deal in getting blown up by mistake ?
Palestinian Christians I can understand and empathize with when that happens to them, but not Arab Palestinians or non-Christian Palestinians who danced in the streets when their "heroes" blew up the twin towers.
Of course, the thing is how do you tell which is which ?
The only thing positive I can say about her is that at least she tried to blow up soldiers who were trained enough to be able to spot trouble, and not unsuspecting civilians who are merely going about their daily chores like some of her younger "brave" compatriots.
I guess her grandmother's heart was not totally lost, and she had innocent people's welfare in mind, unless, of course, it was simply a matter of geography for her.
If at all, I would think the US State Department should be compiling a list of relatives who've had relatives blow themselves up to kill soldiers and civilians. These are dangerous people who should not be allowed inside our land and near our people.
I commend the Israeli soldiers who used stun grenades instead of live ammo on her. Tells us they were trying to get her alive, instead of dead. Or maybe they were just making sure their bullets don' blow her up.
    Whatever.
Ain't sad for her, ain't sad for her folks.

It seems to have been an act of protest more than of terrorism.

True, but I was speaking of where she is now. Now she knows she believed a lie while she was living on earth and her children and grandchildren are all believing the same lie. That is what is sad. She was about my age, a mother and grandmother like me. How grateful I am for the Giver of Life, Jesus. :jesus:

It is always sad when a sinner dies Christ-less and goes to hell, whether they be a grandmother of 40 or a teen killed by a drunk driver. God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked.

I wonder. First it was men doing these things. Then women. Then youngsters. Now it is grandmas. Can anybody see a pattern here?

Ya' think we are losing the war of ideals? Ya' think we ever really were winning it? Ya' think prophecy is coming to pass quicker and quicker, day by day, right before our very eyes?

    Ya' think?

    I think so.

My prayer is that muslims in the west will have their hearts softened and seek to know the truth about the REAL GOD & His Son Jesus Christ. Thousands of Muslims are getting saved in the Middle East, thanks to the http://www.jesusfilm.org and they are getting saved and sustaining persecution for denouncing islam - but many have their hearts open and are seeking the truth in spite of the cost. Also, http://www.sat7.org/ is broadcasting the Gospel to Arab lands. So, they do have choices to make - they don't have to be indoctrinated with jihad unless they choose to; it is possible for many millions to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Isn't that what Islamic terrorists say? They are protesting Israeli occupation of Palestine -- or was it the Jews protesting British failure to establish Israel. Or protesting American troops on Saudi soil or was it Irish protesting Catholic/Protestant neighbors. Or protesting western culture destroying east or vice versa.

The list is never ending, and terrorism is never successful in solving problems.

That's pretty racist. Has it occurred to you that not every "Arab Palestinian or non-Christian Palestinian" supports terrorism?

Women and children killed as they're sleeping - no cause there.

Could be, but we certainly don't hear much from them.

There's always a cause. And an effect. Whether the child is sleeping in Israel and dies by a Muslim bomb or sleeping in Palestine and dies by an Israeli bomb -- the child is dead and cares not for either cause.

A restructured Meier comment -- until mankind cares for all children more than they hate their enemies, innocents will die.
