One of the hallmark doctrines of the Reformation is "Faith Alone" which teaches we are saved through faith and not through works.
But meanwhile back at the ranch we have a group that has left the reservation claiming faith is works. Luther and Calvin would be LOL.

Salvation through faith is of grace, because faith is a gift of God. The same Holy Spirit that led Paul to write Romans 4 also led him to write Ephesians 2.
Here's a Scripture for you then: Jonah 2:9. 'Salvation is of the LORD.' All of it. Every last bit of it (Revelation 7:10).

What you do is constantly to blackguard those you disagree with and then bleat like a lost sheep when anything similar happens to you.

Again, it was your own words and not mine called into question.

You want to engage in distracting from the truth, but your own post shows error.

So you don’t have to chase back, here are YOUR OWN WORDS.

The ungodly lost spiritually dead individuals first put their wholehearted trust in Christ, and then if God credits that faith as righteousness, He transfers them into Christ where they undergo the circumcision of Christ, the washing of regeneration and arise in Christ a new creation, made righteous, blameless and perfect. Thus the justification occrs after God puts a believer into Christ.

There are no “if / then” statements when it comes to salvation to be found in the Scriptures.

Martin continues to deny salvation by grace through faith.
No verse or passage says our faith is supernaturally instilled before or after salvation. The claim is totally bogus.
    God credits our faith.
Our faith provides our access to the grace in which we stand.
Ephesians 2 provides absolutely no support for the bogus claim that faith is supernaturally instilled via irresistible grace.
Faith alone, Faith alone, Faith alone. Faith is not works, Faith is not works, Faith is not works.
We are saved by grace through faith, not saved then given faith. Faith comes before salvation because we are saved through faith.

We are saved through faith. And that faith is our credited by God faith. See Romans 4:4-5, Romans 4:23-24.

Van, why not post Scripture showing what a person must do to get God’s attention that would be good enough to oblige God to credit the person?

For isn’t that also in your quote?

And for the umpteenth time, there is nothing unbiblical in my scripturally based statement.

We are saved by grace through faith, therefore our faith comes before salvation. Agedman denies this and has not recanted.
God credits our faith as righteousness. Romans 4:4-5, Romans 4:23-24. Agedman denies this and has not recanted.
Our faith provides our access to the grace in which we stand, Romans 5:2. Agedman denies this and has not recanted.

Yet another false statement. God is everywhere and is all knowing, therefore the idea that we must do something to get God's attention is blasphemy. And John 3:16 says everyone believing into Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. Thus if God credits someones faith as righteousness, they shall not perish but have eternal life. Not everyone professing faith is accepted. Matthew 7 ring a bell?

The sinner receives from God the regeneration of the heart/mind to enable them to get saved, have the saving faith given to them, then they receive Jesus thru faith, and all of that happens to our way of seeing it at the very same time!

My bible tells me that the power is in the Gospel, the Cross, and the Holy Spirit, not in our way of stating this, correct?

    There is fact and fiction.

Fact, the Word of God is used by the Holy Spirit FIRST.

There is a link between the hearing of the Word and Faith.

“Faith (comes by) hearing, hearing by the Word of God.”

Your quote is a complete fabrication.

The quote of your own Words present a work based salvation that is not Scriptural.

1). It presents the person capable irregardless of any work done by the Holy Spirit using the Scriptures.

2). It presents God as aloof and using some undetermined standard to approve or reject, when the Scriptures present one standard. Believe

Van, please recant and repent of the error of your words.

    Yes. It is.

No. Belief, faith, repentance, obedience, are all the results of God's regenerating Grace. Without Him you can do nothing. Every good thing, like belief, faith, repentance, and obedience, comes down from the Father of Lights.

I have preached the Sovereign Grace of God in Salvation for 45 years and have seen 100s upon 100s of souls saved. You see, when we preach the gospel God illuminates the heart of the lost so he can see, hear, and understand the Gospel, then God grants the regenerating Grace of God to believe the Gospel.

Agedman simply repreats his falsehoods over and over again.

Did I say our faith comes before being drawn by the Father? Nope
Did I say our faith comes before hearing the gospel? Nope
So Agedman's false charge is bogus and he has not recanted.

Agedman denies God credits our faith, or not. Did God credit the faith of those in Matthew 7 who said Lord, Lord?
Has Agedman explained how God credits our faith per Romans 4:4-5, 23-24? Nope.

All Agedman is doing is ignore scripture and post false charges again and again.

    1) Fact, Van, you did state faith comes FIRST!
Prove by using your own quote that this agedman lied.

2). Agedman has not denied God’s working at all, rather consistently shows God is totally involved and in charge (author and finisher of our faith).

    3) I don’t have to explain anything other than point to the error of the quote.

Van, do you recant and repent?

    Will you?

Yet another utterly bogus falsehood, with no scriptural support.
Faith comes from hearing the word of God. The gospel presents Christ high and lifted up, therefore it draws people to Christ.

There is no inherit faith though in lost sinners
Indeed, bit not all sinners, but those whom God intended the death of Christ to save!

    Yet another avalanche of falsehoods!
    1) I did quote scripture, by grace we are saved through faith, which means faith before salvation.
    2) Did I say our faith comes before being drawn by the Father? Nope
Did I say our faith comes before hearing the gospel? Nope
    3) There is nothing unbiblical in my quote, you claim to otherwise is false.
