Here is a typical sample of the “scholarship” of members of the KJO sect:

Notice first of all the spelling and punctuation errors:

    “Kittels” should read “Kittel’s”
    “lexicon” should read “dictionary”
    “Testiment” should read “Testament”
    “Mr.” should read “Dr.”
    “Hitlers” should read “Hitler’s”
    “cabnet” should read “cabinet”
    “bible” should read “Bible”
    “Luteruns” should read “Lutherans”
    “Germanys” should read “Germany’s”
    “a” should read “an”
    “sematic” should read “anti-Semitic”

And how about Dr. Kittel being a Nazi? I found a KJO website just now that calls Dr. Kittel a “Nazi War Criminal.” For “proof” of their allegation they cite only the simple biographical fact that Dr. Kittel lived in Germany during the time of Hitler’s dictatorship.

I'm suprised that you noticed errors of any kind when you apparently cannot see deletions in the NIV.

I think God calls in straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel.
I'm sure God does. (notice I did not say he)

What about addressing the issues and stop with the person attacks.

Now God called it this in the Geneva Bible(1599) Matthew 23:24 24 Ye blinde guides, which straine out a gnat, and swallowe a camell.

Oh....the AV changed the Word of God! Yikes!!!!!

How many times must it be said that MV are not updated KJV's?

I've used Kittel's many times and I never once had the urge to shout "Mein fuerher!"

Yes they do. The Scripture autographs though the KJV and NIV represent the mss of different apograph paths.

Yes and it can be easily proven that King James, his KJV translators and "bishops" were fond of killing and torturing anabaptists.

What is the KJVO point and what's good for the goose is good for the gander?

</font>[/QUOTE]Sadly, the KJVO's are replete with double standards. Ed has documented them oh so well.

Please prove the alleged deletions, Old Timer, using the underlying texts for each. The NIV is accurate to it's underlying text, which is something most kjVERSION ONLYS refuse to address and acknowledge. Quit blathering about and prove your statements.

Please prove your alleged "deletions" weren't "additions" in the KJV.

Actually, God said, "straining OUT a gnat" when He originally made that statement into Scripture.

And the KJVO "camel" cannot get over the "hump" of NO SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT.

One, count 'em, one post into the thread and the KJVers are already trying to change the subject by deflecting any sort of scrutiny from the KJV and KJV-onlyism onto the translation of God's Word they love to hate above all others.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

Gee, Ransom, that could be the KJVO standard...since none of them will dare stand on their own, but rather hide behind lies, propaganda, and the likes of Gipp, Ruckman, and Riplinger.

I mean, hit-and-run posting is silly and childish. And trying to make a point without facts is a waste of time. Let's have a few KJVOists actually be willing to stand and debate their position...instead of the smoke-and-mirrors, lies, slander, and spin that has become the main of their "debate".

But I ain't gonna hold my breath...

    In Christ,

I was thinking more of a KJVO motto, myself. Anyone know what "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" would be in Latin? Non considerare homini pone aulaeum, perhaps.

I'll have to ask my daughter. She has had two years of Latin so far, and will be taking her third this year.

Her reasoning is this: Since she has to have so many credits of a foreign language, why not take one that most of the others she would want to learn comes from?

I hate it when my kid makes sense...

Well, I see that "Old Timer" and Anti-Alexandrian haven't stepped up to the plate to answer with proof instead of just ranting and raving. I hate to say it folks, but I find this typical of many kjVERSION ONLY folks. It's a bad testimony before the Lord and the brethren, and it's a shame, a real rotten shame that they cannot prove their arguments but instead come here and continue to post untrue allegations and typical kjVERSION ONLY rhetoric.
