    I think it is a tribute to Santorum that he sees politics as not as important a being with his family at a time like this. He did the best he could, but the Romney machine was just too powerful to stop.

    I didn't think so at first but began to strongly suspect Gingrich was in it to dampen Santorum's chances. He may well have succeeded in doing just that. I resent him taking advantage to control the momentum that could have flowed against Romney, I see no other realistic purpose for Gingrich to have stayed in except for a ego trip of power and swaying the election and now he can go climb back under his rock for all I care.
