Sometimes it is offensive to 'christians.'

My cousin has recently announced a calling to preach, which is accepted among those of his denomination ('full gospel') the problem I have is this:

He has two living ex-wives; in both marriages he has admitted to committing adultery, yet when I spoke to him on the biblical requirements many in my family admonished me.

The overall perception is that any method to worship is seen from God in proportion of sincerety. (Man's view).

Did not Paul pursue in zeal persecution of the church? Acts 8.3; 1 Cor. 15.9; 1 Tim. 1.13.

    God Bless

Dallas, I don't know that I would forbid this man to preach.

I would, most certainly, forbid him to be a pastor or head of a congregation.

But to tell him that he's not allowed to preach the Word of God...don't think I can bring myself to do that....

    Bro. Don,

I understand your point and ultimately I cannot forbid this man to preach. I also am not denying his calling, only he can know this. However, I believe sometimes our actions, before entering upon the ministry we are given through our calling, prevent our usefulness.

I believe also permitting him to preach would make it impossible to prohibit his becoming a pastor. At any rate he is of a different communion altogether, by permitting him to preach there would be a degree of "confidence" perceived and soon there would be no "reasonable" way to prevent his pastoring.

God bless you in your walk and service to Him.
