    LOL, I love it! The school is named after Jack Benny, the most famous person ever to come out of Waukegan. One of Jack's ongoing bits was that he always claimed to be 39 years old, no matter how much older he obviously was. Hence the team nickname '39ers' at a school named after him. Sheer brilliance! :laugh:

    Could the school have been established in 1939? Just a guess, most likely wrong, from a non-American!
