My daughter (16) and I live about halfway between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. She previously had a goal of becoming a doctor and had an excellent chance at getting a full scholarship at Tulane, but about two months ago said she was called to work with youth. Our church has since gotten her very involved, and she's doing very well. She said the Lord has put it on her heart to become a teacher instead of a doctor.

My question: Should she go to a Baptist Seminary/College? I don't know anything about this kind of stuff ... all I know is she wants to teach and work with youth in a Baptist church. How do I advise her? Might seem kind of early, but not really ... she's a junior in HS and needs to start making plans.

The seminary in New Orleans has an undergraduate college that would be excellent for her. NOBTS is a conservative school that offers many ministry opportunies as well. Check it out at http://www.nobts.edu
