...so this man would denounce his grandmother, too?

You don't think that some Christians have a hard time dealing with racism in their attitudes?

    Looks like I allready was.

I think MP thinks ofObama's blackness more than anyone else does, perhaps Ken is close.

He didn't denounce his grandmother. Stop your misrepresentation. He denounced some racial stereotypes on her part.

I think some Christians have a hard time accepting that their candidate has a racist past, so instead of accepting it, they accuse the people exposing it of the same.

It's easy. Go back & look. Only a racist doesn't want Obama as president, right ? That'sw what you agreed to, isn't it ? That the issues we have are only issues because we're racists ?

You gave yer "yup" to it, so I assume you share his views.

Why can't you answer the question, Bro. Curtis? You are sounding like a poltician. :)

Do you think that some Christians have a hard time dealing with racism in their attitudes?

Can you prove that Senator Obama has ever been a racist?

Casting slurs around is not proof, Bro. Curtis.

I say YES, Ken, as evidenced by you & MP bringing up the fact that Obama is black, every time he is critisized.

Must have hit a guilty nerve, as nowhere dd I call you, nor anyone else on this board a racist. I was referring to the extreme religious right generally. Of course your personal attacks on me will not be apologized for, despite being hateful to a brother & against board rules.

Nope, you said racism is responsible for our attitudes. You did the attack. I'm calling you a liar. Only a liar would say what you said. Only a liar would try and spin it.

    Yep.

The race card is definitely on the table.

Makes it tough to criticize their candidate while that card is in the pile. But, it's been played, so let 'er fly!

...If you can somehow get the thread back on topic.

Because they were losing the debate, it may be permanently derailed to race...

    If so, I'm out.

Let me try one more time.

Do you think that there are white Christians who are bigoted against black people simply because their skin is black and not white?

So now YOU are a liar. And we know who the father of lies is, don't we. Shameful.

Ken, there are people who call themselves Christians who hate blacks. there are the same who hate whites. Gays, Military. People of all sorts of hateful pasts hide behind the cross. That has nothing to do with this thread, as nobody but his supporters bring up his heritage.

Bro. Curtis, you injected race into this thread in a most distasteful manner early on. To quote you:

"A few months ago, he said he could no more disown Dr. Hatewhitey than he could his own grandmother."

It's your perjorative in that sentence that began the degradation of this thread.

Do you think there are white Christian Obama supporters who cry "race" every time their candidate is criticized?
