    In my little perfect world (not working second shift), I would go back to attending a local church's contemporary Saturday evening service, while going to my church's late Sunday morning service the following day (10 am). End your Saturday on a good note...start your Sunday the same.

    I would prefer the early Sunday morning service, but since I am the pastor I have no choice about which services I get to attend.:thumbs:

    My first choice is Saturday evening.

    Second is the earliest one on Sunday morning.

    I wish our Church would add an early Sunday morning service, then I could go when I have to work on Sunday. Unfourtunaly right now all we have are late Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening.

    We only have one service on Sunday and on Wednesday evening is kid's club and a mens' Bible study, ect.

    The short service is my favorite. (At least that's what I told dad when I thought he preached too long :laugh: .)

    We have two distinct Sunday am services.

    The early service is more formal, more liturgical. Organ & piano only. The use of hymnals. All hymns. And the choir wears robes.

    The later service is more contemporary, non-liturgical. Many instruments - including guitars & drums. No hymnals. Words on the "big screens." Blend of hymns & praise songs. No robes for the choir.

    I enjoy both, but we normally attend the later service.
