I don't know. It sounds like the truth to me. All lost people are evil and getting ready to Burn in Hell. The love of Jesus naturally comes in that although we all deserve his wrath, we get his grace and mercy. Sounds like the Gospel to me.

I agree. If you are implying that this is what The Way of the Master course teaches, you are simply wrong. You've somehow gotten the wrong impression. I encourage you to get The Way of the Master book and read it from start to finish, then discuss it.

So, how has wom worked when you used it?

Did the person you witness to smile and laugh when you called them a dirty rotten liar?

I would really like to see it works in the real world.

OK, I'll bite - when did you share that Gospel last?

Maybe instead you could tell how God has worked through you and the wom to bring people to Jesus?

As of yet, I have never met anyone that led someone to faith using wom . . . EE, SJWF, RR (Roman Road), and many other 'tools' for sharing the Gospel - I personally know have worked.

I am not saying that it won't work.

But, I have not met the sinner yet that God (Holy Spirit) led me to say was a worse sinner than I am (was). If I meet that person. I can ask them if they ever told a lie . . . if they ever stole a penny . . . c'mon now, you already told me you were a liar . . . tell me you stole something even if it was a paper clip . . .

If you have met that sinner - tell me about the conversion experience . . .

Back to sharing Jesus without fear . . .

El_Guero, all you are doing here is openly showing your ignorance of what the Way of the Master teaches.

The Way of the Master does not teach you to go call someone "a dirty rotten liar", or anything else. Nowhere does it teach you to say or even imply that someone is a "worse sinner than I am/was".

You've apparently seen a clip or two from one of their shows, and you've gotten the wrong impression.

Like I said, I really encourage you to read the Way of the Master book, so that you will have a good understanding of it.

    God bless.

    Way of the Master Works

I have seen people saved through someone using the principles taught in WOTM. It works bacuase you witness biblically, the way Jesus did. In fact, if you are practicing WOTM correctly, you don't put someone down, you simply let them become aware of where they already are. I am not better than them. I am simply "better off".

I didn't realize the Gospel was supposed to make us laugh and smile. I'll keep that in mind. What, in your mind, constitutes a succesful presentation of the Gospel, and on whom is that hinged?

In the Share Jesus without Fear teachings, it is not up to us to make sure the person is saved.. it is up to us to just present the Gospel. We are then obedient to Jesus...That makes us successful.

I think he was being sarcastic about the laughing and smiling.

El Guero, you are way off.
They don't teach you to tell them they are a worse sinner, but that we are all sinners. Have you been to their website or read any of the materials?
The whole idea is to get people to understand they are a sinner, not a easy believism type gospel that says "would you like treasure in heaven?" with no explanation of why we need a savior. Many of us have used bits and pieces of the Romans Road, Share Jesus or whatever God is leading us to use, and this is just one more way of putting it together.
God saved a woman at our church last week and He used me to share with her the way of salvation, and yes I even used some of the Way of the Master along with the Bible and we kneeled at the altar and she got saved that night.
    Praise God!

Share Jesus without Fear seems to present a more balanced presentation of the Gospel.

And as a forgotten prince of preachers said, "I will try so to deliver my message that he shall not be offended at it."

We should be loving but the cross is offensive.
By the way, Ravi Zacharias, David Jeremiah and John Macarthur support it.

No I am not way off. I have read their material, watched videos, and listened to recordings. I have read their website material.

I have. I even tho't it was a unique witnessing method.

    Until:

I listened to people 'trained' in it. I have yet to meet anyone that evangelizes that uses wom. Share Jesus Without Fear - yes. WoM - no. I asked on this board and its trained supporters could not tell when God had used them and WoM to lead someone to Christ.

The Roman Road has worked for God & I. EE has worked for God & I. Why would I want to learn an additional method that focuses heavily upon works (works of the evangelizer)? I would rather memorize the Acts of the Apostles . . . than to memorize a comedy routine.

And if you have been through it all - then you should recognize my references . . . and pray tell, how would I know those routines if I had NOT studied the comedy routine?

Why don't you put on your parachute and walk through the streets of your town extolling the virtues of being prepared.

I will continue to proclaim the Gospel. In simple words that any young child could understand.

PS - I shared the Roman Road tonight . . . and the man wanted to say yes, until the cares of the world and the weight of the Gospel distracted him.

Would WoM have worked on him? I do not know. But, the Gospel did not work. And it is the Gospel that has power to change men's hearts (& women's too). So, why should I swing a 16 lb sledge to nail down a loose nail in my cabinet? If the hammer won't do, the sledge will destroy what had already been built.

Use the Gospel. Proclaim it in season and out of season.

But, use it! Get right with God. Pray up. And go forth and make disciples. It is no wonder that we do not hear of men closing their bars and brothels anymore - we have exchanged the power of the Gospel for the strengths of routines.

The Gospel cleans the most evil and tarnished of sinners - till they are lilly white. The other leaves the saintliest of saints dirty and vile.

I am here to win the lost. What few the Lord might send my way. I want to be prepared with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Fancy scripts and comedy routines may inspire some to go and witness, but the flames of hell lapping around the damned spur me on. Lazurus asked for someone to witness to his five brothers . . . Scarborough began searching for those 5 men untill he died.

Who will join me and rekindle the search?

Cloth the Gospel in the words of fancy actors? No - let the lion loose. Let the Gospel loose and it will do its work upon a man's soul.

Thank God you used the Gospel along with the WoM . . .

WOM is sharing the gospel. It Does contain the word.
It may not help you, but it might help others.
Just like the others, Romans Road, Evangelism cube, and 4 steps, etc..
Its just a tool and nothing else. There is no new revelation or salvation idea revealed. Its the same gospel that tells us we are sinners and Jesus died for our sins and is alive and we need to be born again.
Maybe you have the whole Bible memorized but some new believers need some steps to help them remember scripture and what to say.

Sounds like a good program, instead of trying to force the Gospel you merely share the Godpel. Let the Gospel do the work.

Jesus spoke to the heart of the person. Some he told about hell. Others he told about heaven. And one he told the man to sell all he had.

Jesus knew their heart we dont, so thats why we tell them the whole gospel and not water it down to just do you want heaven with all its great benefits. Thats why there are so many false professions.
I could go to most people on the street and say how would you like heaven?
Just repeat after me this prayer and most would say "yeah that sounds nice but with no repentance or understanding of what they are doing are they really saved?
Did Peter at pentecost or Paul in their preaching just say "Heaven is nice, just repeat after me.."

By the way many say just believe but the demons & devil believe Jesus was the Son of God. What they didn't do was accept(trust) what he did on the cross, dying for our sins and being resurrected.

Please -- I have not yet read all of the posts in this thread, but do not understand from those I've read why such a statement was made -- explain how the cross is offensive???

Surely this is not a serious statement??
