Sign Depicting Life-Size Obama Wearing a Turban Draws Criticism

First, let me emphasize that I completely support this man's right to put up such a sign.

Having said that, I think he's very, very wrong. For one thing, he's visually contextualizing McCain as a solider and Obama as a ... well, what exactly? Foreigner, at least. It would be the equivalent of posting a picture of Biden in a suit beside Palin in a bikini. One projects professionalism, the other makes her look like a bimbo. Though such a photograph would be a legitimate subject of discussion, it hardly defines her identity sufficiently to warrant such a life-size comparison. Further, I object strongly to the use of Obama's full name for the simple reason that it's entirely irrelevant and smacks of fear-mongering among the ill-informed.

 

Besides, he says his middle name is really Steve... :laugh: :wavey:

Does Obama have a problem with his middle name, does he dislike it, does he prefer not to use it? Is it his ligitimate real middle name/
Then there should be no problem with using it.
