    This site has become a source of irritation to me for the last few months. I have taken short breaks a few times, to only come back to the same thing. Time to pull the plug.

    I do not know if it is the Election Cycle causing it or not, but there seems to be more growling than there used to be (at least in the areas that I frequent. For my part in adding to the animosity on this site, I apologise to whomever one is owed.

    That's just reflecting the country. So if you read another board in which there is political discussion, it's a good bet 'twill be the same. If not-- I suppose it's your gain... or your loss, considering your 2nd post.

    I have been on this board since 06. There have always been those who claim things are worse than they once were. Fact is this board has ebbs and lows but it is consistent. It is no worse today than it has ever been since I have been on this board.

    Oh come on Rolfe.....dont let some people spoil it......the place could be a valued learning experience for you as well as others. I haven't seen friends like Padre, Old Regular, etc in quite a while & its kinda bothering me because they are balanced individuals who bring both humor & prospective into this forum......so if you leave you add to the ever increasing void of the place. Certainly after the election & whatever miscreant comes into office, we could dispense with this contentious horse manure & start discussing other stuff.

    So I ask you sincerely to reconsider your position & come in & participate (even if its on a limited basis) .....I need to laugh once & a while & you provide that humor (and balance)!

    Be well whatever you desire to do.
