No. Rush is one of the leading voices among conservatives.

Rush is an entertainer, first & foremost. Besides being the most popular radio personality, ever. And most successful.

He is not the voice of the republican party, as he has criticized Bush on the Harriet Myers circus, and is extremely critical of Bush's proposed border plans. He is constantly harping on Senators John Mcain, Rick Santorum, Arken Specter, & their ilk.

Listen to him, if you want to know so much about him.

Here's a question for you. Do you think Rush Limbaugh inspired the Newt revolution ?

I don't now that Rush Limbaugh is the voice of the GOP, but he is certainly the face of American conservatism. And that a three-times divorced, drug addled gasbag holds that position says more than a little about the rank hypocrisy of political conservatives in this country.

Limbaugh has never struck me as a morality-driven conservative. His conservatism tends to be more economic, IMO.

I think you're right - although I will say that Limbaugh has never shied away from making moral arguments when it has suited his purposes to do so.

    Of course not.

I am a Republican, though I'm more moderate than the standard GOP politico...definitely more so than Limbaugh.

I am a registered Republican, however, Rush Limbaugh does not reflect my views, and I was especially appalled when he endorsed NAFTA. That's when I quit listening to him.
