Does anyone subscribe to Sky Angel? What do you think? Is it worth it? How much was the dish/installation?

I have Directv. I can program what stations I want and lock out those I don't want. I have kids so I am real picky about what they watch. ihave heard tho about SkyAngel. How much a month is it? I pay 45.00 and that encludes several different pkges.

I'm interested in it, but looks as though most of the stuff is charismatic.

SkyAngel is $9.00 a month I think, after the dish. It is exclusively Christian programming, no PN, or other networks. I am actually most interested to get radio stations, like MBN without tying up my phone lines.

I have the Dish Network and there is one Sky Angel channel on there (the main one). It's okay...yeah some charismatic programming. They do show some decent things, too, like John Ankerberg and some Messianic Jewish shows. The one that I don't have that I wish I did is called God's Learning Channel. There are several good shows on that small network. Let me say, though, that I wouldn't rely on ANY TV network to provide 100% consistently acceptable programming. It's our job as parents to be the mediator between the world and our kids, not Sky Angel. No network, radio station, performance artist, pastor, elder/deacon, Sunday School teacher or anything else can be relied on as the perfect example; there is, of course, only one perfect example in Christ Jesus. Hopefully everyone here realizes that, and I'm sure they do, so I suppose I'm "preaching to the choir." Ha ha. [IMG]

How much does Dish Network cost? Well, I guess that depends on what specials are running where you live. Pick up a newspaper or listen to the radio and you'll probably see or hear of a special deal going on. I got my receiver for free and the installation for free by signing up for a one year committment. You can get it for as little as 23 dollars a month plus tax.
