What a wonderful story!

As a military retired veteran (and one who was deployed to the desert in the early stages of Operation Iraqi Freedom), I always get choked up when "The Star-Spangled Banner" is played.

While most people know only its first verse [if, in fact, they even know that one!], I always mentally sing these words (which are sometimes called its Fourth Verse):

O thus be it e'er
When free men shall stand
Between their loved homes
And the war's desolation.

Blessed with vict'ry and peace
May our heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made
And preserved us a nation.

Then conquer we must
When our cause it is just
And this be our motto:
"In God is our trust."

And the Star-Spangled Banner
in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free
And the home of the brave!

 

Terrific. I'd prefer to think that America is a peace loving country but that's impossible considering recent events. Jesus Christ was NOT ARMY STRONG. Do you agree?

 

Oh, but He WILL be one day when He comes riding back on a white horse with His army of Saints with Him!! Hallelujah!

Rev. 19:[11] And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
[12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

[20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
[21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

We need more people like this Paul Anderson and the good men and women in uniform as noted in the O.P! We need less of those who simply choose to complain.
