Explain, and without modern implications which are always distortions of past indices.

All network cards are assigned a unique identifier at the manufactor. These identifiers are know as the Media Access Control Address or MAC Address for short. Once the Network card is installed on a computer....

Wait, I don't think this is what I am supposed to explain....

    Sorry, My bad

I think they were one of my husband's competitors when he was in the audio industry...

    Sounded good to me.

Do you work in the IT field? That sounds like something out of my CCNA manual :)

Yea, I'm a sys admin/network engineer/programmer/dba/security/../.../.../.../.../.. on and on and on.

Some days I hate computers but it pays the bills so I can continue to serve bivocationally

You sound like my hubby although he's not bivocational anymore. But his computer skills are coming in quite handy at church. What stinks is that he uses his computer skills so much yet makes 1/2 the amount of money. Poor guy. But everyone else at church is happy he's using them so they don't have to figure it all out. ;)

As best I can determine, it is a musical notation akin to soft.

This is the most cryptic OP I think I have seen on here. I really do not know what he is getting at, well not exactly.

And for some reason it seems he has been suspended and can't clarify.
I hope it is just a suspension so that he can come back and clear it up and not an outright ban.

    It's just a suspension.

However, the question as written is nearly impossible to answer unless you're trained in Biblical musicology.

I am glad to hear that. It is rare that I would want someone to be banned.

Sitting through hours of Frank Garlock in college must not have gotten me much training in Biblical musicology then :)

I will await sal's return and explanation.

I used Biblical in the same sense as it's used in Biblical archeology. The OP explicitly (at least to me) excluded any current interpertations of what constitutes a "solemn" sound. That to me means the OPer would view any opinion by Dr. Garlock as non-reponsive to his question.
