    The two snips following are from Comfort's book on textual variants.

    7 : WH NU : for I had much joy
    var/TR : for we have much thanksgiving

    "The documentary evidence for the WH NU reading is impressively superior..." The error which replaced the singular for a plural was "perpetuated in the majority of manuscripts and found its way into TR." (p.689)

    20 : WH NU : in Christ
    var/TR : in the Lord

    "This WH NU reading is heavily supported by early and extensive documentation." (p.690)
