I imagine this has been discussed before, but Im not sure where. How does the RSV put "with the blood of his own Son" in Acts 20:28, when the Greek has "with the blood of himself"? I could find no variant with the word for son at all in this verse. Can anyone enlighten me?
    Thanks, Colin

    Acts 20:28, NET Bible:

    NET Bible translator's note:

The CEV is the only other MV that I know of to render the verse in the same way, although it is footnoted as above in the ESV; the Darby NT renders it simply "the blood of his own."
