This is not "genocide". Sheesh! You ought to know what you are talking about before you open mouth and insert foot.

==That is not an example of genocide, in fact it is not even news. The homeless have always been a high risk group. Whether it is from other homeless people, another adult, or a teenager, the homeless are often the victims of violent crime. There is nothing new about this. When I was a teenager I started working at a video store over town. It was a nice store but the area had a high homeless population. They were always stabbing each other, getting robbed, beat up, or arrested for causing problems in stores and with customers. Most were harmless but a few could be dangerous. There was one guy who would go around picking fights with anyone who came into his line of vision. He was very dangerous. One guy who had been stabbed came into our store. The manager called 911 and the guy, who was homeless, survived. He was stabbed by another homeless person over some beer. It is sad, but that is life on the street.

I agree with you, EG, that it is a form of genocide. According to what I looked up on Wikipedia, your premise would qualify.

Some people on here wouldn't count aborted babies as victims of genocide, either.

    Or killing old people.

    Wiki defines genocide as
Genocide is the mass killing of a group of people as defined by Article 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (CPPCG) as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life, calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; and forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."
    emphasis added
Killing old people and babies is also not genocide as the killings cross the geno-line; genocide is killing a people.

You can call those atrocities, but not genocides.

I was looking at the Classifications under genocide on Wikipedia - if you dig deeper, here is what it shows: (so EG's premise would be at Stage 1, possibly Stage 2, and definitely at Stage 3) It has not advanced to Stage 4, organization. (Snipped content below)

    Why are you arguing semantics?

A quick trial and timely administering of the death penalty seems appropriate for this sport murder.
