I would play volleyball but we currently don't have a team. I play outside of school. I used to play soccer but am to old to play city league soccer. our school only has four sports for girls: softball, basketball, Track, and Golf, we actually only have one girl on the golf team. But, technically it is a girls' sport.

I'm in church league softball..interesting. I'm insanely comptetitive, so I have to tone it down a bit.

If I tried to play a sport, people would chase me with pitchforks out of town! I think I posted about this in some other thread, but I have this thing called "lack of grace/coordination". I have none whatsoever! I end up hurting people by accident, or damaging things. For example last Sunday night some of the youth went out behind the church with Pastor to play some golf. The only thing I hit that went anywere was a very large hunk of the churchyard! (Needless to say a friend of mine started aiming for me when he hit the golf balls...and I took his hint!)
Guess I'm just not blessed in this area!

Since the topic is sports I have a funny sports story, One time at church camp we were playing softball, and I was playing outfield because I was a good catcher, but hating playing catcher, and third base was occupied. SO I am in the outfield and I see this flashing light overhead so I am staring at it. All of a sudden I hear "Kayla, Watch out!" About that time I got whacked in the head with a regulation slow pitch softball. It knocks me out, I wake up and I am being carried to the bleachers, I supposedly said "Did you see that shooting star?" and preacher boy(a friend) said "What shooting star all I see is a helicopter." Then went out again. And awoke to him throwing ice water in my face, I know he completely enjoyed that way to much. And he told me that story. So I am a good ballplayer when I keep my head in the game, wait I mean focus on the game.

Well, I could handle losing a lot better if it wasn't for the fact that we are losing by TEN or more runs. That is annoying as anything. I know that the object is to have fun, but it's not fun if you're getting whooped all the time.

I know our baseball team had their butts handed to them twice this weekend. They are a really good team they have a chance to go to state if they want. Our Football team won south state.

I've been "ordered" to brace my ankle for each game/practice. Pitcher says it looks like my ankle gives out on me so she said "I better see you in a brace next time"

This is soooooo sad ya'll. Last night we played golf with Pastor again. We drug out folding chairs to sit on. When it was my turn I went and chose my weapon...uh, I mean golf club, and everyone was muffling laughter. I turned around to see everyone with their folding chairs folded and them hiding behind them! Instead of yelling "FOUR!" they all screamed "EIGHT!" [IMG]

We discovered at practice last night that we play better with...icecream!! My aunt snagged a fly ball with a popsicle in her mouth. We all played better after a sweet treat. This could be a new discovery.

Off to work on a research paper.
