.................Ron Paul was again a tremendous speaker at CPAC and as usual he gave a speech filled with one intelligent point after the other.

Let someone else write about the rest of it but to me the most important part of Congressman Paul’s speech was the recognition of President Obama’s naked and frightening power grab.

From the likely nationalization of Citigroup to centering power in the White House by politicizing the Census to using American taxes to promote abortion around the world, Obama’s policies are more like Mussolini than Lenin.

I disagree! I think he is more like Hitler than Mussolini who was incompetent as a Fascist. But then he could be more like "good old Joe" {Stalin}. I believed "good old Joe" killed more people than Hitler did. There are so many bad ones out there it is hard to decide, but definitely not Mussolini.

My mistake. I thought you were talking about O'bama rather than his policies. But I guess the policies define the man.

I heard they didn't use the word "socialism" sparingly either. Sounds like the part of hate and alarmist cries has been recharged.

I dont know about all of you, but I am not willing to give up one iota of freedom for a few trinkets from the federal government. Nothing has changed since the civil war took the rights of the states away. The plantation is just bigger.

I respect you beliefs; I know many agree with you, but I believe the South losing the Civil War was the best thing for the country overall. I do not fear the government and, like Joseph in Egypt, I believe we are better served by a strong central government.

So, you believe the United States should have a King (pharoah). Nice worldview. I'm beginning to understand your posts more everyday.

There was another Joseph who believed in a strong central government. Joseph Stalin. You should read about him, he killed about 30 million people.

The founders of the United States built this country on the fear of an overzealous government taking away individual freedoms. They sought to limit the scope and power of a "centralized" government.

That is an historical worldview the people of this country should remember and embrace as we look at the policies of a man whose worldview and agenda is just the opposite.

    peace to you:praying:

So, you think President Obama is the same as Joseph Stalin? Now, I understand your hatred for the democratic party.

Do you also think Joseph (the one in the bible) was wrong?

Well! Perhaps you were good teachers!

Not to hand out compliments but for 8 years the democrats/leftists have constantly spewed hatred of President Bush. In doing so have spewed hatred of the young men and women who are giving their life to protect us, even those who hate them.

No, I do not believe Obama is the same as Joseph Stalin. And I do not hate the democratic party. I used to vote for democrats, those who were conservative (there used to be a few, believe it or not).
    It is a silly comparison.

I don't want to live under a King.
I don't want the government to own all our institutions.
I don't want the government to tell me I must accept homosexual marriages.
I don't want the government to make it a crime to disagree with those who support homosexual marriage.
I don't want the government to teach my children that homosexuality is OK.
I don't want the government to teach my children that abortion is OK.
I don't want the government to use my tax money to support abortions.
I don't want the government to ban firearms.
I don't want the government to put the U.S.A under the control of foreign powers.
I don't want government officals to bad-mouth our soldiers while they are fighting a war.
I don't want the government to use fear to pass a socialist agenda that will do all of the above.

I don't want to live under a king.

If you do...knock yourself out. Just don't try to take me with you.

    peace to you:praying:

Not a fair comparison since the right also spews hatred at Bush. They didn't even want him to campaign for them. The GOP strategy was distance yourself from Bush.

The only time we saw true bipartisanship in DC is when you brought up Bush.

That's not true, we can not support the war but still support the ones sent to fight it. Also keep in mind I agree with the war in Afghanistan. It is only Iraq that I have a problem with.

So you are saying if you lived in Germany in 1942 and was opposed to WWII you could still support the SS Troops?

Well then, you vote for your candidate, and I'll vote for mine, and we will see which of us is taken for a ride! For now, us democrats are in control. After the next election, who knows.

I survived eight years of Bush. I hope you survive eight (wishful thinking) years of Obama.

I don't think I can survive 16 years of Georack Bushama. Check that...I don't think my grandchildren can afford the irresponsible fiscal policies of Georack Bushama.

Ridiculous. While as an American you certainly have the right to say such things they simply show how biased and ignorant you really are.
