I wonder how many pastors will be preaching on

    Mat 24:36

But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

    or

    Mat 24:11

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect

We've been doing a talk about how the early church got started and the ways they changed the world through their faithfulness. We won't be deviating from our plan.

We probably will say something about we're glad everyone made it though...I think we've got something fun planned...:)

Hubby is doing the last in his "Rethink" series. He's going through the "You have heard it said....but I say" statements from the Sermon on the Mount. Tomorrow is Rethink Resemblance. (the love your friends, hate your enemies statement).

We discussed it in Sunday School, but the sermon during the regular service concerned Noah, our Pastor has been preaching from Genesis the last few months.

It was simply coincidence that they are similar stories, as Noah warned people of the coming flood, but no one listened.

We discussed it at the beginning of our Sunday School class....but we have a visting Pastor who preached on Rahab, the harlot, and her faith. It was a great sermon.

We answered questions about it for 15 minutes on Sunday night. But our associate pastor was preaching on Sunday morning and we are in Mark on Sunday night.

I introduced our associate pastor on Sunday morning by saying that I had asked him to preach because if we were raptured on Saturday, i wanted the pulpit covered on Sunday. :tonofbricks:

I had the privilege of being at my son's church in Rockford, Illinois at 6 pm Saturday night (they have weekly service on Saturdays since they share a building)

He spoke expositionally from Gal 1:1-9 on the false gospel that many think is the true Gospel. Got to admit the illustration of "camping" did come up!!

Our Spring Revival started yesterday morning. In a crowd of 130 people, two women (mother and daughter) were baptized, then two brothers came forward professing faith, and third man (a grownup) and several others coming forward to the altar to pray.

But to have three men come up and publicly profess faith in Christ was awesome.
