Our church used to have Sunday evening services and Wednesday evening services as well but then years back we went to small groups. Now we have many small groups and some meet on Sunday night (those will still meet on Sunday night) and some meet on other nights of the week that are more convenient for the particular families. Wednesday night now consists of "Family Night" which has classes for adults (similar to Sunday school classes), support groups classes (right now we are running GriefShare), Pioneer Girl and Boys Brigade (like Boy and Girl Scouts) and youth group. One of the reason for going from Sunday evening services to the small groups was that many families are so torn away during the week that they don't get time together and Sunday is time that they can just have time to be together including the pastor's family so allowing them Sunday evening has benefitted them greatly. Now moving the gathering time in the small group to another night has allowed more families to be involved in both their families AND gathering with the church.

My church doesn't have Sunday night services so that those with children can spend time at home with family.
We do have a bible study on Sun. nights that's very deep and intense. We're doing Revelation right now. So anyone can come to that.

It won't affect any part of our church schedule except the additional of "The Big Game" party.

We used to watch the Super Bowl on a huge projection screen (about 15 feet x 25 feet), but have to cut it way back because of the NFL rules.

This year, I care nothing for either team, so I'm not terribly interested.

Is not serving wings on Super Bowl Sunday a sin?

Ann, thanks for filling in the blanks. It's obvious your church's lights are on every Sunday night.
